Cornwall Life Magazine Detail

	Description:	Cornwall Life is at present a bi-monthly glossy county publication with a circulation of between 10,000-12,000. From April 2008 we are going monthly – a result of its growing success. The magazine is aimed at the AB’s and top C’s readership who has a disposable income and who enjoys the fine things in life. It is representative of the county and filled with Cornwall-related stories, news and events and is a celebration of the area – we focus on ‘good news’ rather than being too controversial. It is divided into sections – property, interiors, food and drink, what’s on, arts, gardens, wildlife, people, towns, fashion, health and beauty. Twice a year we have a bridal section in the magazine, as well as a Pub and Inn Guide, Restaurant Guide and Accommodation Guide. There is always room for more story ideas, and sometimes we run issue pieces, or have special educational or retirement features for example. As Editor of Cornwall Life magazine, my principal role is to oversee and manage the content of it. I have a group of staff writers and photographers that I commission every issue and set deadlines and briefs for them. When the articles arrive, they are edited by me, the proofread by our subeditors before being sent to the design studio. I then work closely with the designer to ensure the best, top quality pictures are used in the most appropriate way. Our aim is to provide readers with an enjoyable, informative read that reflects the beautiful county they live in.
