North |
|   Description:
Angel magazine was launched almost a decade ago now, started by a brother and sister with a love for Islington and its surroundings. As can be expected when dealing with such a great area, Angel grew beyond anyone’s wildest expectations to what it is today – North London’s most respected monthly lifestyle magazine.
There was always going to be scope to increase the magazine’s coverage, so when North emerged nearly five years ago it was a welcome addition to the Archant family. Recently North celebrated its 50th issue in style, revisiting some of the people and companies that has made it a must-read for over 200,000 people each month around Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Highgate, Finchley and Alexandra Park.
Today, Angel and North continue to bring the latest celebrity interviews, exclusive shoots, community news and ideas to change your lifestyle for the better. The degree of loyalty clients feel towards the magazines suggests we are doing something right.

news wyre |
|   Description:
WYRE Forest District Council’s Corporate
Plan for 2008-2011 has been launched.
It explains what we as a council are aiming
to achieve with the help of our partners over
the next three years.
This is our third Corporate Plan, which
builds on the achievements of the previous
plan ‘Building a Better Future 2003-08’. It also
draws from the new Sustainable Community
Strategy ‘Making a Real Difference 2008-
2014’ (see page 6).
Having consulted widely in developing
this plan we are confident that the
priorities identified will contribute
significantly to improving the quality of life
for residents, visitors and businesses in the
district.
This new Corporate Plan reflects a greater
focus on outcomes for the community:
quality of life, sustainability and prosperity,
underpinned by greater efficiency and
stronger partnership working. It also reflects
the constantly changing local government
environment and will be reviewed annually
to make sure that it is responding to, and
meeting, the needs of the district.
Our Vision
“We want Wyre Forest to be a district with
healthy, safe and flourishing communities
that are supported by a strong and diverse
economy. The local environment will be clean,
inspiring and valued, where people are proud
to live and work and are attracted to visit and
invest.”
Our vision is underpinned by the following
values:
• Being open, responsive and
accountable
• Value for money
• Promoting sustainable
development
• Putting customers first
• Valuing employees
•Working in partnership
In this plan we have four corporate aims
which represent what we want to achieve for
the district. These are:
• A better quality of life
• A sustainable
environment
• A vibrant local
economy
• A well run and
responsive
council
To help us achieve
these aims, we
have agreed four
priorities for
improvement to
help focus our
activity and
allocation of resources.
• More affordable housing
• Reducing waste to landfill and
increasing recycling
• District-wide regeneration
• Improving efficiency and value for
money |
